Because of my work, I have moved 25 times in my life across the world and I have to say, my experrience with Holland Movers is by far the worst I have ever had.
Let's start from the personnel.
Majority of them are students with no prior experience that will do the work in a 'good enough' way. Not a great care is taken to pack fragile items (majority of our crystals were broken... but more on that later), or pricey pieces of furniture (they put stickers directly on them that will damage the finish and they won't bubble wrap anything).
Now let's talk about the move itself.
The move was done without any logic and parts of the same item were placed in two different trucks making the time needed re-assemble pieces of furniture way longer. Also, to recover the lost parts, we have seen many of the movers walking on the boxes while still in the truck definitely helping destroying many of our fragile items. Also, despite they claimed to have done a survey of the delivery location, they found out, the day of the delivery that they needed some plates that had to come from a warehouse. The plates never arrived but the whole crew stayed idel for 2.5 hours and we had to pay for that time for the whole crew. (more on that later). The crew was constantly complaining about the weight of some items and they repeatedly threatened not to carry a 3 people couch because it was 'too heavy'. They forced me to collaborate with the crew to move the couch otherwise they would have left it at the entrance of the building.
Now let's talk about the insurance.
Damages to my belongings were many and all were duly documented, in some cases we had to trash the items. Also, they LOST a PS5 that they moved with the original box but left unguarded for some time. Their alleged insurance didn't cover for anything of this damages (estimated value ~5000 Euros) because they wanted the original purchase receipts of all the items (including the furniture) and then they were writing-off the residual value of the items that were damaged based on some accounting rules.
First they started ignoring the claims, then they started coming back to us with a settlement offer only if we removed all the bad reviews from the web and turn them into positive ones. They also bothered searching for my wife's name and make sure the settlement proposal included my wife's reviews to be removed. They offered me 100, 200, 300, 400 and then 500 Euros to remove the bad reviews. So please don't believe the reviews you see of Holland Movers because they are mainly fake or paid for.
Lastly, estimated vs. actual bill.
The estimate was of ~3000 Euros for 2 days of work (7 hours each day) within Amsterdam. The actual bill was way higher 5100 Euros because they claimed extra hours, handymen that worked effectively 2 hours but they were billed for the whole day and the time lost I described above.
Overall my experience with them has been terrible, we trusted the reviews we found online but, knowing how they operate, I would never trust them again.

We received an offer from Holland Movers with estimated time to move our things of 5 to 7 hours. In the end, it took more than 12 hours, and the job was not completed. Most of the furniture was not assembled. Now we have to find someone else to assemble the furniture, plus we received a bill twice as high as the estimate.

Toen bleek dat de verhuizing nog relatief lang zou gaan duren ging de kwaliteit merkbaar achteruit. De verhuizers wilden versnellen en dat ging gepaard met kantjes ervan af lopen: een dressoir dat 20 minuten in de stromende regen staat, een kast laten vallen, het laten slingeren van afval op de parkeerplaatsen.
Ik heb contact gezocht met de aftersales en dat is de voornaamste reden van deze review. In plaats van dat er begrip wordt getoond wordt er verwezen naar voorwaarden; ik heb niet de 'premium service' genomen, alsof dat een excuus is om zo met mijn spullen om te gaan. Het is niet alsof een dressoir dan zonder problemen in de stromende regen onbeschadigd blijft.
Om nog maar een voorbeeld te noemen: bij uitladen bij het nieuwe adres en bleek dat het vrij lang ging duren nog om alles boven te krijgen is mijn tv op de verhuislift gelegd en daar werden vervolgens dingen bovenop gelegd!
Geen aanrader, ver van weg blijven!

Over het verhuizen zelf heb ik niks te klagen - onze spullen kwamen veilig en compleet aan. Echter was het daar omheen best wel veel gedoe.
1) De levering van de dozen ging erg moeilijk, en problematisch. Eerst werd er beloofd dat deze rond 19:00 leveren geen probleem was en om 16:00 van de dag van levering bleek dat ze eig niet aan levering in de avond doen.
2) De verhuizers waren op zich prima, echter namen ze op een bepaald moment 40 minuten pauze- en daar heb ik lekker voor mogen betalen in het uren overzicht!
3) Ze zijn mijn huis-sleutels kwijt, dus daar gaat mijn sleutel borg. Toen ik belde hierover werd er alleen gezegd 'ja hopelijk hebben ze ze nog, en zo niet dan tja'. Ik mag dus nu aan mijn oude huisbaas 100 euro mogen betalen voor verloren sleutels, heel leuk!
Prima verhuizers, maar de service buiten het hoofdkantoor laat veel te wensen over.

Never, ever trust this company! I trusted Holland Movers due to the good ranking in Google, but be aware that they are paying unsatisfied customers not to leave a negative reviews!!! It makes me sick to think about their way of dealing with request of damage refunds: they exploit the fact that people would accept a partial refund and then demand the customers not to leave negative reviews. Despite causing damages for more than 1500 euro, they offered me first 100, then 250 and then 500 euro not to leave a negative review!!
I used their service for moving from Amsterdam to Munich and I specifically selected them thanks to the agreement with their representative stating that ''Holland movers would take care of the big pieces of furniture, pack them and wrap them'' and that everything would be insured, in case something happened. To summarize my awful experience with them:
- Estimation of the viewer was first 2'775 Euros and then 'a mistake was made' and it went up to 3'570 euros
- Urgent email received the day before the move telling me that the move was just reserved and not yet confirmed given that the bill was not yet paid and I needed to confirm before 12am otherwise the move will not happen. Obviously this caused extreme stress, I had to call the office and confirm that the email was just wrongly generated and I had paid already.
- Agreement that the items would be packed and insured. Several pieces of furniture were damaged (damage value of 1500 euro) with the move - also one that I specifically called out as fragile and valuable and a mocking refund offer of 100 Euro was offered.
It is very clear to me that the company has several problems with internal communication or their sales department is simply cheating. Never use their service!!!!Lees meer

Mijn moeder was na 30 jaar toe aan een verhuizing naar een voor haar gepaste woning (appartement, drempelvrij, lift aanwezig).
Holland Movers, werkelijk vanaf het aanvragen van een offerte (spoedige communicatie via de email en telefonisch) tot aan de dag van verhuizen: helemaal top! ☺️ Zeer vriendelijke, spontane gasten en superservice! Echt klasse en betrouwbaar!
Mijn moeder woont dan ook sinds vandaag officieel in haar nieuwe woning en ze is meer dan gelukkig! (dan zijn wij dat als haar kinderen natuurlijk ook en de fijne service heeft hier zeker in bijgedragen).
Hartelijk dank voor jullie inzet, service, transparantie en harde werken! Wij (ook mijn moeder) bevelen dit verhuisbedrijf zeker aan! ☺️
