Ik zal nooit meer van hun diensten gebruik maken en zal dit bedrijf dan ook niet aanbevelen.
During moving the driver did not notice a red light (I was riding with them to the new apartment). When I pointed it out he slammed on the breaks and as a result my fridge fell on top of other stuff completely destroying the fridge (it leaks when you plug it in) and damaging other stuff in the process.
Up to this point I would have put ~3 starts because yes, mistakes happen but then I had to deal with the after sales team and 1 star is honestly too much.
First of all they absolutely LOVE to throw the terms and conditions to you which are unrealistic and predatory.
Here is the first one they threw:
'Electronic appliances must be packed in original boxes.[...] otherwise their transportation will take place at the Customer’s own risk at all times.'
My fridge was fulfilling these criteria BUT what this means:
1) Not in the original box and the mover just yeets it down the stairs? Your risk
2) Do you have a LG tv but you put it in Samsung tv box? Your risk.
3) If you own all your appliances, you need to keep the boxes for:
TV, Microwave, Washing machine, Dishwasher, Fridge, Oven, coffee machine etc etc. Really...?
The second terms and conditions they quoted;
'Exemption in the event of damage amounts to €450 and is always for the Client’s account.'
Which basically translates to: Our movers can damage your stuff up to 450 euros and we take no responsibility for it.
In hindsight this shows how much faith they have in their own employees.
Now if lets say they move the washing machine up the stairs and it gets scratched, fine. I have no issue, I don't expect to be compensated for that and I do not include small scratches or dents. But again that was not the case.
The driver just did not pay attention to the road!!!!
So they did depreciate my fridge by 17%, I asked how did they get this number (I genuinely do not know how these things are calculated so if anyone does please enlighten me)
They did not reply at all. They might as well have put 50% if they don't need to justify anything.
Now down to numbers:
My fridge cost: 520 euros
My frames for the artwork I have: 174 euros
Moving itself cost: ~330 euros
Their offered me 139 euros. This does not even cover the frames though...?
I don't like being the you-just-lost-a-customer guy, but there are better alternatives that might be more expensive up front but less shady terms and conditions.Lees meer
De verhuizing had relatief simpel moeten zijn. We verhuisden naar een huis 80 meter verderop, met 6 grote objecten. We waren al 3 en een half uur bezig voor we bij het nieuwe huis waren. De verhuizers waren om onduidelijke reden uren bezig met opzetten en verplaatsen van de lift. Bovendien zijn de meeste spullen vies geworden tijdens de verhuizing.
Als excuus droeg Studentverhuisservice aan na de verhuizing dat er een tak van een boom moest worden gezaagd om plaats te maken voor de lift. Iets wat in totaal in 10 minuten gedaan was. Ook gaven ze aan dat bij het nieuwe huis wat spullen stonden die ook omhoog moesten. Echter, dit was ook afgesproken in de offerte.
We hebben geprobeerd een deel van ons geld terug te krijgen, omdat we uiteindelijk meer dan het dubbele hebben betaald dan het bedrag in de offerte. De klantenserivce reageert echter niet of langzaam. Bovendien lijken ze de klachten niet serieus te nemen. Ze boden aan 1 uur te compenseren, met het verzoek geen negatieve review te schrijven. Nadat we aangaven niet akkoord te gaan, boden ze een nog lager bedrag ter compensatie.
We zijn teleurgesteld in zowel de verhuisservice als de klantenservice van dit bedrijf, en raden mensen aan een serieus verhuisbedrijf te zoeken.Lees meer
Om te beginnen waren de verhuizers verveeld, onbeschoft, zaten veel op hun telefoon en hadden er duidelijk geen zin in. Twee van de verhuizers hebben de gehele verhuizing hun zonnebril opgehouden en 1 van hen zou hebben aangegeven lichtschuw te zijn. Dit komt niet erg geloofwaardig over aangezien ze meerdere keren over drugs en de gevangenis hebben gepraat. Maar eigenlijk gaat het ons om de spullen die ze kapot hebben gemaakt! Onze meubels zitten vol diepe krassen en deuken en onze muren vol beschadigingen. De verhuizing was zo naar dat we ze eerder naar huis hebben gestuurd. Ze zouden alle meubels op de juiste verdieping en in de juiste kamer zetten maar uiteindelijk bleven we over met alle spullen op elkaar gezet in onze woonkamer. Het echte dieptepunt kwam tijdens de afhandeling van de schade. Ze bieden ons 200 euro aan in ruil voor dat wij de review verwijderen!! Ze verschuilen zich achter de kleine lettertjes en vinden dat wij de meubels goed hadden moeten inpakken. Maar hoe verklaar je 3 cm diepe krassen in een massief houten tafel? NIET NIET NIET DOEN! while i knew this is a student moving service, i didn’t immediately associate this with unprofessionalism, however i should’ve read more reviews before organizing my move with studentverhuis service.
i was in contact several times with the company before my scheudaled move, and i made sure to read everything thoroughly before agreeing to the quote. however, on the day of the move, nothing worked out smoothly. i had to contact the moving company in the morning, through which i figured that the move will be delayed, but not by how much. therefore i was at the moving location early enough, however, still had to wait over an hour for the movers to contact me and show up. due to my own work, i did not have the time to wait another hour for the handyman (whom i ordered with the move) to disassemble my ikea couch, which is why i did it myself in the mean time of waiting. by the time the movers came, nothing meet my expectations or hopefully the usual standards of this company. the two movers who showed up were in no way fit enough to move a washing machine (this item was clearly stated in the moving request, and also the reason i called prior to the move to make sure studentverhuis is aware of the situation), nor did they meet the description in the term and conditions (these state that a e.g. a washing machine should only be transported with enough man power and at least one professional). after they figured out how to move a washing machine in the first place, they (in a very questionable way, and by dropping the machine on almost every step) carried the washing down the stairs, where i was seriously worried about someone getting hurt. once everything got to point B, the handyman/ mover wanted to install the washing machine for me (since this is what i reqauest prior) although their missing expertise and questions like „do you know what this is“ (holds up the water supply hose) lead me to decide that it would be better to not have these „professionals“ install my washing. after the move, and while i was already running late to my own work, i was told by one of the two movers, that he was not officially supposed to do this move, which came very suprising to me, given that i just allowed them to move 600€ worth of things, and apparently somewhat uninsured. i don’t know if it can get any more unprofessional than this. i had to pay the movers the full price of the agreed to quote in the moment, given that this is the arrangement i had agreed to when accepting the quote, however, i also let them know that i will be in contact with studentverhuis service to rediscuss the price i had to pay (since the quote did not match the service provided). studentverhuis service is very uncooperative about this though. i had to contact them several times over a time span of more than a week in order to even get a first reply from the right team. after explaining my complaint thoroughly to them i only recived back a sloppy written email with a compensation that is very vaguely formulated. i did not accept this compensation (due to the vagueness) and upon asking about this compensation to be explained in further detail (i want to know what i actually am getting compensated for) i again did not hear back from them, and still haven’t. i had to contact them again via phone etc., but i am still waiting on a response to my email and a proper solution from their side. (and hopefully one where i don’t get blamed for the size of the dutch stairs which are literally part of the house and a logistical issue which should’ve been taken care of/ enquired from movers side prior to the move)
i had to put in more effort and way to much money cause i decided to move 2 items with this company. they’re quotes don’t match their moving/ working style and at the end of the day you have two guys standing on your door mat, which act like it’s their first day at the job. in terms of communication, logistics, and professionalism this company lacks a lot of experience and customer service expertise.
